Social & Behaviour Change
Reformation and transformation begins in the mind. A people’s mindset and general outlook determine their success rate. As such, youth reorientation, value reorientation as well as shifts in inimical socio-cultural norms are the heart of the Foundation’s Social and Behaviour Change initiatives. These initiatives aim at carving positive mindsets, purpose-driven lifestyles, and entrenching peace and conflict resolution in Tiv land, both at individual and communal levels. With an annual budget of fifty million Naira (N50 million), we will undertake the following:

Have a 60-minute Social & Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programme running on 4 radio stations in Benue state with coverage of the Tiv speaking communities across Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa and Cross River states.

Same programme will be broadcast across Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tiktok etc.

Establish and operate a Help Desk with dedicated phone lines to offer free counselling and mentorship services.

Production and publishing of video and audio drama skits, jingles, Ring-Back Tunes (RBTs), and folk songs with target SBCC themes (i.e. peaceful living, responsible citizenship, resourcefulness, industry, positive socio-cultural norms etc). These media tools can be deployed via diverse media platforms including radio, Social Media and live interactive gatherings.

We solicit your financial and otherwise contribution to achieve this to the utmost.
